These huts are a common site along the highways in India. I took this shot at one of the national highway and you can see some huts there. Some part of land is left on the side of highways which are acquired by either dhaba wala’s (small roadside hotels) which are a favorite spot for truck drivers for eating food or by beggars’ for making their hut like the one you see the picture. As the land along highways cannot be used like this, anytime these people are kicked off by police. So what I mean is that there should be some kind of scheme thru which shelter can be provided to everyone. Kicking these people will not solve problem as they will again make huts somewhere else and their life will not improve.

Just before we started building our home, I proposed that why not go abroad and settle there. At first everyone thought that I am joking but when I told some benefits, some of the family members though seriously on it and then for few days everyone was thinking on it.
