Professional Movers
Filed Under (Travel) by Mohd. Hashim Khan on 05-02-2008

moving
A time comes in everyone’s life when he has to move from one place to another, it can be in form of house shift or a big move like shifting whole company from one country to another. This moving job is best handled by professional movers like CarMovers, Internationalmovers etc. CarMovers are specialized in car transport and you can get free quote from them anytime. When moving big and precious items, there is a need of insurance of goods so that you can save yourself from big financial loss in case of any accidents that might happen during transport. When you handover the moving work to professional movers, you don’t have to worry about all this work, you just have to sit and watch the work getting done.

Lock changed
Filed Under (Travel) by Mohd. Hashim Khan on 05-02-2008

lock
Today I went to buy the ignition lock for my car as it was no more secure enough to be used. Any key you use and the car could be started so I thought its time to get it replaced. I am not that kind of person to hand over the car to service station and let them do whatever they like. I know which where I can find genuine parts at good rates so went there but the lock was out of stock. So I had to go to Vineet motors which is not near and they don’t sell parts to anyone but only to those who bring cars to their service center. But I talked to their head and they agreed to give me the lock set. Surprisingly it was Rs.200 cheaper than “not so genuine” lock of unknown brand. I changed every lock so that I can have single key for every lock in the car. Buying the lock was not a big deal but getting it fixed at workshop took time and it was so cold outside that I was cursing myself of doing this work today!

Below the bridge
Filed Under (Travel) by Mohd. Hashim Khan on 29-01-2008

bridge
In my previous Aligarh fort post, you saw that bridge. I have taken several pics that day and this one is where I am standing below that bridge. It used to be filled with water and maybe crocodiles too for the safety of fort. Today also one can see the marks on the bridge left by water. The bridge had some kind of gate but it’s all broken now. However the bridge still looks very strong and is going to last for centuries without any kind of maintenance. However I feel very bad to see nearby people using this area as toilet. Imagine if any tourist visits this place, how bad he/she will feel and would never come back again. What I feel that it should be again filled with water and dangerous creatures to save it from enemies of today (read local people).

Bridge of Aligarh Fort
Filed Under (Travel) by Mohd. Hashim Khan on 29-01-2008

Aligarh fort
Yesterday while the car was getting the underbody paint job, I went to see the Aligarh fort which was nearby. Didn’t have the pass (we have to get permission to see the fort from inside) so just came back from the bridge above the pond which was all around the fort and filled with water to protect fort from enemies. Today it’s all dried up and there is no water and the bridge is also in bad shape. But Government has now realized the importance of this historical monument and restoration work is in progress. Botany department of AMU is also taking good interest in the fort. While I was seeing all this, I was just wondering how much human labors must have been involved in making such deep pond and bridge with no machinery. Today this bridge and the dried up pond is used by nearby people to do shit. How bad!

Unregulated Traffic
Filed Under (Travel) by Mohd. Hashim Khan on 27-01-2008

no rules
Going to market is a headache; there is so much traffic that all you have to do is keep shifting gear and brake often. The roads have no dividers so both the direction of traffic uses same road which often cause accidents. Accidents happen daily but still there is no development. Govt. will say it’s due to more vehicles but then more vehicles means more road tax paid to Govt., where this money is all going? What this market need is wider two way roads so that traffic can move easily and there are no jams. At some places, roads are two way but not with proper traffic lights or any system to regulate traffic.
